Halloween Word Ladders

My teacher friends love word ladders! They are a little challenging for me to make, I must admit, because I am no walking thesaurus. So when I’m in the mood to put some word ladder worksheets together I jump on the chance. These Halloween puzzles were super fun to do – though I tried doing one starting with the word ‘ghost’ to no avail!

I really love coming up with new Halloween worksheets, just because I think every classroom should be fun in the month of October!! Printable Halloween Sudoku

I have to watch myself while playing sudoku – it can be very addicting! My kids like it too – as long as they have enough hints so as to not get too frustrated. These sudoku printables for Halloween are definitely on the easy side, great for 3rd through 6th grade students, or adult sudoku junkies like me!

These printable teacher newsletter templates took me forever to put together today – but I think they are worth it! There is a different design for every month of the school year – though the first template could really be used year-round. I’ve worked to make them generic as possible to accommodate a wide variety of uses, but I’d love to hear suggestions from you as to how these templates could be more useful for your classroom!

Just to be clear – these are printable newsletter templates for use with your photocopier. They are not “live” templates that you can type into – they are for handwritten newsletters only.

Printable Masks

Recently a few of my printable masks posts have been getting a lot of traffic from many different international websites. Wondering why this was, I found that it is the Carnival season between late January and through Lent. The Italian Carnival of Viareggio is starting soon in the beginning of February, and a little Wikipedia research turned up some really interesting facts on how Carnival is celebrated differently all over the world – right down to our own Mardi Gras here in the U.S.

Over the last year I have created a lot of printable masks for different occasions – Halloween masks, animal masks, Chinese New Year and dragon masks, Greek masks, Thanksgiving masks and Mardi Gras masks. Here they all are in one place!

Our Halloween mad libs and Halloween word puzzles have been a huge hit so far this year, so to add to the Halloween fun, here are some new Halloween math worksheets! These worksheets are good for students in 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade and teaches skills such as number recognition, adding numbers in word form, and multiplying decimals.

I’m gearing up early for Halloween this year – I’ve been creating so much fun content for the fall I can’t wait to share it with all of you! These printable Halloween word puzzles are great for 3rd grade and up – have the kids unscramble the letters and find the hidden phrase when the worksheet is completed!
