These math tables are kind of indispensable around our house when my kids are doing math homework. This was especially true when they were in the younger 1st and 2nd grades. The carts include a simple 100′s chart, an addition chart to number 12 and a multiplication chart to number 12.

Printable Book Report Forms

I love that my kids start reading again so much once school starts (read: I’m not so great about convincing them to read over the summer)! And they are finally at the age when they all have to do real book reports. I’m not a great homework helper, but I try to make up for it with printable worksheets that really will help them do a better job in school.

These book report forms are suitable for both beginning readers and older children. The first is simply a form they can fill out that becomes their book report. The second set is an outline primer plus a page for them to handwrite their report (if you don’t already make them use a word processor!).

Teacher Newsletter Templates

These printable teacher newsletter templates took me forever to put together today – but I think they are worth it! There is a different design for every month of the school year – though the first template could really be used year-round. I’ve worked to make them generic as possible to accommodate a wide variety of uses, but I’d love to hear suggestions from you as to how these templates could be more useful for your classroom!

Just to be clear – these are printable newsletter templates for use with your photocopier. They are not “live” templates that you can type into – they are for handwritten newsletters only.

Printable Graph Paper and Grid Paper

My son made me a proud mama the other day when he specifically asked for grid paper so that he could practice his drawing. I have to admit I was impressed with his desire to be precise – if only he was that way about cleaning his room!

This set of printable graph papers come in inch increments at .25″, .5″, .75″, and 1″. There is also 1cm, 1.5cm and 2cm grid papers as well. There is also a 15 x 15 cell grid that is perfect to use to make your own word searches with your weekly vocabulary words.

Important Grid Paper Printing Instructions

If you require accurate grid measurements for your graph paper printouts, you must ensure that your printer is set to print at a full 100%. Some printers also default to your browser settings, so if you are having problems, check these as well.

This will likely mean that part of the page will be outside of the print area, and tell your printer to proceed anyway. Each printer is different, so I cannot give you exact instructions on how to achieve this with your particular setup. But in general, once you hit the ‘Click to Print’ button on the next page, you will have to go into your printer options to change the setting to 100%.

Most printers – and browsers – by default print pages at the setting ‘Shrink to Fit”, and this will not work.

Printable Handwriting Paper

When my kids were really little (back in the days when they asked for homework – what a concept!!), I used to make handwriting practice sheets and printed them out by the dozen. These easy to make handwriting worksheets used to keep them busy for quite a while. I was able to make them with letters on the computer, but I also printed out blank pages and drew letters for the kids to trace when I wasn’t in my office. They got use again a few years later when they had to learn cursive letters.

You can also make your own handwriting worksheets with the Penmanship Print font.

Printable Blank Venn Diagrams

I was at my son’s school today and saw some really creative Venn Diagram projects posted on the hallway walls. I’m going to have to do another post on Venn Diagram activities, but it inspired me to put together some blank Venn Diagram templates that I know will get used!
