Christmas Word Ladders

A friend of mine that is a teacher told me recently how much she loves giving word ladders to her 3rd grade students. I didn’t realize teachers would prefer them over word searches because they are better teaching tools. Since then I’ve found that they are a little challenging to put together! It’s not easy having to run through the alphabet 30+ times trying to put together a string of words that work!! So that’s why I’m really happy I was able to come up with these Christmas themed word ladders – with Christmas words, no less! Trust me, it wasn’t easy!!

Halloween Word Ladders

My teacher friends love word ladders! They are a little challenging for me to make, I must admit, because I am no walking thesaurus. So when I’m in the mood to put some word ladder worksheets together I jump on the chance. These Halloween puzzles were super fun to do – though I tried doing one starting with the word ‘ghost’ to no avail!

Back to School Worksheets

My kids are SO ready to go back to school. Yesterday they were even watching TV with their backpacks on, wishing summer was over – I kid you not! So I’ve thrown together some back to school worksheets in the hopes of capitalizing on their summer boredom woes. But these will also be great for kids in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade as a way of giving them some fun worksheets to welcome them to the new school year.

I always think that getting ready for Thanksgiving will be the calm before the storm of the holiday season. Then somehow the month of November whizzes past me and I wonder what the heck happened to my supposedly calm month? This year should be even crazier with everything I have on my plate, but I honestly wouldn’t change a thing. I don’t need Thanksgiving to be grateful for all the wonderful things in my life!

I started Animal Jr. right before Thanksgiving in 2008, not having a clue as to how huge of a network it would turn into just a few months later! I’m gearing up early for Halloween this year – I’ve been creating so much fun content for the fall I can’t wait to share it with all of you! These printable Halloween word puzzles are great for 3rd grade and up – have the kids unscramble the letters and find the hidden phrase when the worksheet is completed!
